Founded in 1961, IPSA is a private engineering college offering a 5 years graduate syllabus specialized in aeronautical and space systems. IPSA is located in Paris and Toulouse. Students acquire wide knowledge in various scientific fields and a practical approach to aeronautical engineering. Our Master program is taught in English.
This school is a member of the IONIS Education Group
During the program, students will spend two weeks and two days in Paris and four days in Toulouse.
Discover the city of lights during summer time !
The rosy-toned brick buildings of Toulouse have a special glow, earning the city its title, "La Ville Rose" ("The Pink City"). Toulouse is at the heart of sultry Southwestern France not far from the border with Spain. The warm, sunny climate and friendly locals give Toulouse an inviting ambience. Toulouse has become a center of aviation and spaceflight in the past 20 years. More than 35,000 of the inner city's 400,000 citizens work in the civil aviation or space industries; Airbus Group is the largest employer in the region.
The program aims at providing key concepts in developing micro aerial vehicles (drones). The summer school not only provides a theoretical background on aerial autonomous vehicles, as dynamic/aerodynamic modelling and basic techniques of control, but it also details experimental aspects regarding the airframe design and implementation of such techniques on a home-made drone.
Different specific drone configurations will be studied. Also, detailed realistic simulations will be performed, covering not only the drone's motion but also aerodynamic design aspects regarding real-world applications. At the end, each student will be able to get their own drone.
Courses, lectures and workshops, experimental tests, survival french and intercultural courses. Discover Paris throught street art or by boat during a cruise, learn how to become parisian during a theatre show and more!
