Created by experts in the field of game development, the Epitech 2023 Summer School edition will bring the best of innovation, creativity and passion for technologies to offer you a unique experience. This year’s Summer School theme revolves around the current challenges our world is facing. During the 3 weeks course you will develop a game that will reflect your own creative voice and vision towards a better world.
France is the second largest producer of video games in the world, after the USA. By enrolling this program, you will have the opportunity to explore Paris, platforms for innovation and new technologies, and meet with the French experts in the gaming industry.
Our program encompasses intensive courses and practical workshops led by our experts as well as survival French and intercultural workshops. Over the course of three weeks, you will learn about the principles of game engine, game and sound design and will be introduced to Unity or Unreal Engine scripting, which you will use to create your own custom game! The program emphasizes team collaboration and close work with experienced game designers and developers. You will work together and independently to create a 2D/3D game based on design principles and development techniques used by professionals in the field.
At the end of the summer school, each student will present their game and they will participate in a final challenge.
There’s only one main condition to succeed: unleash your creativity!
WEEK #1: Game development & game engine
You will be introduced to video game development and game engine.
Week #2: Game design
You will work on your video game and its design.
WEEK #3: Final Challenge
You will finish your video game and participate in the final challenge. Be creative!
During the Summer School you’ll learn a lot, but you’ll also have so much fun… Beyond a summer school program, we believe in creating an inspiring summer community where good friendships and lasting memories are made. We offer a wide variety of cultural, social and fun activities so you can make the most of your stay with us in Paris!
During the program, you will be fully immersed in French culture. “Bonjour” will no longer be the only French word you know thanks to the French language classes you’ll take. Various cultural visits will be organized so you can discover the capital’s most iconic sites. And last but not least, you will have lots of fun as we’ve prepared many exciting activities for you to enjoy and remember!

The Summer Program is as much about having fun as it is about learning!
Students will discover Paris through different activities, including gastronomy,
cruise on the River, guided tours of the city, visits of the Palace of Versailles,
the European largest indoor waterpark and Disneyland Paris.

Our program is accepting students with knowledge in Science and Technology who have a basic level of understanding of code and programming (preferably 1 or 2 years).
Applicants from diverse backgrounds and with a diverse level of experience are encouraged! Applicants should have at least a basic knowledge of programming and must have completed at least one year of higher education in a field related to IT.
Participants must bring a laptop. All other devices and software will be provided by Epitech.
